The TEKTELIC VIVID v2 (SMT2PEU868) is a compact LoRaWAN smart occupancy and environment sensor designed for precise indoor monitoring in offices, hotels, schools, and smart buildings. Unlike classical PIR sensors, the VIVID v2 uses a TMOS thermal infrared sensor that detects stationary human presence as well as motion — making it suitable for desk occupancy and room presence detection where people may sit still for extended periods. Beyond occupancy, the sensor integrates ambient temperature and humidity measurement, ambient light detection, field-of-view object/human temperature sensing, a magnetic Hall effect sensor for door/window status, and an accelerometer for impact and orientation events. The IP65 enclosure protects against dust and water exposure, while the twist-off mount enables tool-free wall, ceiling or desk installation. Powered by a user-replaceable CR2477 coin cell for 4+ years of operation, with remaining battery life reported as a percentage. Fully configurable over-the-air via the TEKTELIC LeapX app or ATLAS, with open API for third-party integrations.
