The TEKTELIC CHICKADEE Ex (CHSENNEU868XX) is the ATEX-certified variant of the CHICKADEE wearable badge tracker, designed for personnel safety in potentially explosive atmospheres — oil and gas facilities, petrochemical plants, chemical processing, mining, and grain handling. The ATEX-certified enclosure houses the same triple-positioning technology as the standard CHICKADEE — LoRa Edge™ GNSS for outdoor, BLE for indoor beacon-based localization, and Wi-Fi sniffing for AP-based positioning. The compact badge form factor wears on a lanyard, belt clip, or pocket and includes an easy-access SOS button for lone-worker emergency alerts. An onboard accelerometer enables context-aware reporting. The Li-Po rechargeable battery delivers extended operation per charge via the USB-C connector (charging must be performed in a non-hazardous area). Integrates with TEKTELIC LOCUS for visualization with geofencing and provides an open API for third-party safety platforms.
