The TEKTELIC CHICKADEE (CHSENNEU868) is a wearable badge-style LoRaWAN device designed for personnel and asset tracking at any jobsite or while in transit. Powered by the Semtech LoRa Edge™ transceiver, CHICKADEE provides triple positioning — GPS for outdoor, Bluetooth Low Energy for indoor beacon-based localization, and Wi-Fi sniffing for AP-based indoor positioning. The compact badge form factor wears comfortably on a lanyard, belt clip, or pocket and includes an easy-access SOS button for lone-worker safety. An onboard accelerometer triggers context-aware reporting (more frequent when moving, less when stationary). The Li-Po rechargeable battery delivers 6+ months of operation per charge via the USB-C connector, with optional 12 V external power support for permanent installations. Optimized for construction sites, manufacturing, multi-building campuses, hospitals, retail, and any environment requiring indoor and outdoor personnel tracking. Integrates with TEKTELIC LOCUS for visualization with geofencing and an open API for third-party platforms.
