ABD8429-AC-PROFW

High-performance rack-mounted industrial security appliance with 11 physical network segments and the complete PRO/FW feature set. The Defender 8429 is the performance-upgraded variant of the 8029 — same 19" 1U form factor and port layout but with increased processing power for high-throughput OT environments.

9x Gigabit LAN Ethernet ports plus 2x SFP for fiber optic or additional RJ45 connectivity, with VLAN support for virtually unlimited logical segmentation. Full PRO/FW capabilities: Deep Packet Inspection on Ethernet/IP CIP and Modbus with auto-learn, virtual patching via Snort and Suricata IPS, advanced VPN (WireGuard, OpenSSL, IPsec), RADIUS/LDAP/AD authentication, DHCP server, policy scheduling, captive portal, advanced routing (RIP, BGP), load balancing with multi-WAN, traffic shaping and high availability redundancy.

Designed for large-scale OT-SDWAN deployments and high-bandwidth critical infrastructure environments where maximum throughput is essential. Configuration via web GUI, RESTful API and CLI. Optional central management via the Anybus Cybersecurity Console.

The Defender 8429 is the high-performance variant of the 8029. Same 19" rackmount form factor and 15 segments, but with upgraded processing capacity and 6x SFP (vs 2x) for environments requiring maximum port density, DPI, VPN and traffic shaping throughput. Also available as Defender 8429-DC with 24V DC power. For standard throughput requirements, see the Defender 8029. For DIN rail deployments, see the Defender 6019 or Defender 6004.
